Python Programming classes: questions parents ask

What age is the Python Programming course for?

It's designed for ages 7+ (grades 3-12). In the free trial class the tutor checks your child's level and confirms it's the right fit before you decide anything.

Should my child learn Scratch or Python first?

Usually Scratch first, then Python. Older or very motivated beginners (around 11 and up) can start directly with Python; the tutor recommends the starting point in the free class.

Is Python good for kids learning AI?

Yes. Python is the language AI is built in. The course ends with AI and automation projects, and the Data Science & AI course goes further into machine learning.

Does my child need any prior experience?

Some familiarity with coding basics helps, but it isn't required: the free class doubles as a level check, and the tutor sets the starting point for your child.

How do the live Python Programming classes work?

Every class is taught live by a real tutor, never pre-recorded, and your child keeps the same tutor every lesson. Choose private 1-on-1 classes (45 minutes, 2–3 a week) or a small group of 2–4 students (60 minutes, 2 a week), scheduled in your time zone. The full course is 96 lessons over about 12 months.

How much do Python Programming classes cost?

Plus is $6 a class (groups of 3–4), Premier $12 (groups of 2–3) and Prime $15 (private 1-on-1), in US dollars. You pay only for the classes your child takes, and the first class is a free trial.

Is there a certificate?

Yes. On completion your child earns the Python Programming Specialist certification, STEM.org accredited, as a downloadable PDF and a shareable digital badge.

What does my child need for the classes?

A laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, a microphone and a stable internet connection, and an up-to-date Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. The tutor helps set everything up in the first class.

What if we want to stop midway?

You only pay for the classes your child takes: a full refund if no live class has been completed, and a pro-rata refund at any point after that, to your original payment method.
