What is game development for kids?
Game development is designing and coding video games: the world, the characters, the rules and what happens when a player presses a button. It is one of the most motivating ways for kids to learn programming.
In Codinzy's live game development classes, your child builds 2D and 3D games with Unity and learns real gameplay design: movement, scoring, levels and what makes a game fun to play.
Why parents choose this course
- Kids learn coding through the games they love.
- Unity is a professional tool used to make real games.
- Builds creativity, design thinking and persistence.

Does my child need a powerful computer for game development?
A laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection is needed for every class. The tutor helps set everything up in the first class.
Does my child need any prior experience?
Some familiarity with coding basics helps, but it isn't required: the free class doubles as a level check, and the tutor sets the starting point for your child.
How do the live Game Development classes work?
Every class is taught live by a real tutor, never pre-recorded, and your child keeps the same tutor every lesson. Choose private 1-on-1 classes (45 minutes, 2–3 a week) or a small group of 2–4 students (60 minutes, 2 a week), scheduled in your time zone. The full course is 48 lessons over about 6 months.
How much do Game Development classes cost?
Plus is $6 a class (groups of 3–4), Premier $12 (groups of 2–3) and Prime $15 (private 1-on-1), in US dollars. You pay only for the classes your child takes, and the first class is a free trial.
Is there a certificate?
Yes. On completion your child earns the Game Developer Professional certificate, STEM.org accredited, as a downloadable PDF and a shareable digital badge.
What does my child need for the classes?
A laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, a microphone and a stable internet connection, and an up-to-date Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. The tutor helps set everything up in the first class.
What if we want to stop midway?
You only pay for the classes your child takes: a full refund if no live class has been completed, and a pro-rata refund at any point after that, to your original payment method.
